How renders are counted.
A render is the first request for a chart. A chart is the same chart when its parameters, theme and watermark match.
Views are free
The second request for a chart, and the ten-thousandth, comes from cache and never counts. Cached charts are never rate limited either.
Paid charts never break
Go over your plan's renders and charts keep rendering. We email you so you can decide whether to move up.
Free stops cleanly
When a Free account has used its 500 renders, new charts show a "Free limit reached" image until the next month. Charts already rendered keep showing.

- Annual billing
- Pay for ten months, get twelve. You still get your plan's renders every month.
- Rate limits
- 20 new renders a minute per key on Free, 300 on Starter and Pro. Cached charts are never rate limited.
- Watermark
- Free charts carry a small renderchart.com mark. On a paid plan, signed URLs render without it.
- New accounts
- Verify your email address to unlock the full Free allowance. Until then an account can make 25 renders.
