Who we are
RenderChart is a chart image service at renderchart.com. For anything about your data, write to support@renderchart.com.
What we store
- Your account: your name, email address, timezone and email choices, your password (hashed, never readable) and your two-factor settings. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name and email address from them.
- Keys: public keys, and secret keys encrypted at rest. MCP tokens are stored only as a hash.
- Charts: the short charts you save (a name and the chart parameters), the parameters of charts rendered with your keys, and the rendered images, kept in a cache so the same chart is not drawn twice.
- Usage: one record per render or error: the key, chart type, size, result and timing, and the website the image was loaded on (its host name only). We do not store the addresses of people who view your charts.
- Billing: your Stripe customer and subscription, your plan, your payments and their status, and your reason if you cancel. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
- Emails: which emails we sent you, when, and whether you clicked a link in them.
- AI assistants: for each MCP call, the tool used, whether it worked and how long it took, and the assistants you have connected.
- Security log: key changes, secret reveals and account changes made by our staff, with the IP address each came from.
- Visits: with statistics cookies on, a daily count of pages viewed per visitor, and how you first and most recently found us (campaign, referring site and landing page). This is linked to your account when you sign up. No IP address or browser details are kept with it.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe takes payments and keeps invoices.
- html2img draws each chart, so it receives the chart’s parameters and data.
- Cloudflare serves this website and chart images, and holds the image cache, key records and delivery statistics.
- Our email provider sends account and product emails.
- Slack carries our own notifications about accounts (a sign-up, a first chart, reaching a limit, a plan change, a deletion), which include your email address.
- Google and GitHub, only if you choose to sign in with them.
Cookies
Essential cookies make signing in and forms work. Preference cookies remember how the app looks. Statistics cookies count visits and remember how you found us; they are set on this website and on the app’s sign-in pages. There are no advertising or third-party cookies.

Your choice about statistics cookies
Turning them off deletes them and stops us recognising this browser. Your visits are still counted, anonymously. Your choice applies here and in the app.
How long we keep it
Visits from people who never sign up are deleted after 400 days. Everything else is kept while your account exists.
When you delete your account, your keys stop working within a minute, your cached charts are removed and your account data is deleted. Payment records, subscription history and security log entries are kept for our accounts without a link to you, and visit records follow the 400-day rule above.
Your choices
You can change your details and delete your account in your profile settings, and choose which emails you get in your email settings. For a copy of your data or anything else, write to support@renderchart.com.
